2019 Estate Series Shiraz
Our Heathcote vineyard was founded upon ancient Cambrian greenstone which formed as a result of volcanic activity on the ancient seabed 500 million years ago. With complex geology, 7 different Shiraz clones & an array of winemaking techniques, including whole-bunches & extended maceration, our aim with the Estate Shiraz is to highlight the generosity of fruit, synonymous with Heathcote, coupled with grace, elegance & complexity.
This shiraz displays an abundance of blueberries & plums, supported by notes of black pepper, truffle, dark chocolate shavings and subtle floral notes of whole bunch spice. The palate is round and generous, with our vineyards characteristic ferrous tang of chalky tannin providing backbone & length.
